Lead Legal Drafting & Review: Draft, review, and revise complex legal documents including commercial contracts, partnership agreements, NDAs, MOUs, employment contracts, and legal notices with minimal supervision.
Contract Negotiation & Stakeholder Liaison: Participate in contract negotiations with internal stakeholders, clients, vendors, and regulatory bodies. Act as a key liaison in legal discussions.
Legal Risk Management: Identify and assess legal risks across the company’s operations. Recommend and implement mitigation strategies aligned with business goals.
Regulatory Compliance Oversight: Monitor and interpret changes in Myanmar laws and regulations. Ensure internal policies are aligned with legal and regulatory requirements.
Litigation & Dispute Resolution: Oversee litigation matters in coordination with external counsel. Prepare case documentation, assist in hearings, and manage legal claims and disputes.
Corporate Governance Support: Ensure legal compliance with corporate governance policies. Assist with board and shareholder meetings, resolutions, and related documentation.
Legal Database Management: Oversee the management and security of the company’s legal documentation, contracts database, and compliance records.
Mentorship & Team Support: Guide junior legal officers in daily tasks, provide legal training, and review junior-level legal outputs for accuracy and quality.
Internal Collaboration: Work closely with Finance, HR, Operations, and Business Development teams to provide legal input on cross-functional initiatives.
Skills & Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Law (LL.B) or higher; legal license (Advocate) preferred.
Minimum 3–5 years of legal experience in a corporate legal department or law firm.
Deep understanding of Myanmar corporate, commercial, and labor laws.
Proven experience handling contracts, disputes, and regulatory matters independently.
Excellent legal research, analysis, and writing skills in both English and Myanmar.
High proficiency in legal drafting and interpretation.
Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills.
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, legal research tools, and document management systems.
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and work under pressure.
