Fleet Manager – Yangon
Job Description
Global Technology Group is seeking a Fleet Manager for Yangon to oversee the company's vehicle operations, ensuring efficient, safe, and cost-effective management of the fleet. This role involves planning, coordinating, and supervising vehicle maintenance, procurement, compliance, and operational logistics to support the organization's transportation needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee daily operations of the vehicle fleet, ensuring timely and efficient transportation services.
- Develop and implement policies and procedures for fleet management.
- Coordinate acquisition of new vehicles based on company needs.
- Manage the disposal or resale of old or decommissioned vehicles.
- Schedule regular maintenance to ensure vehicle safety and reliability.
- Coordinate repairs and preventive maintenance to minimize downtime.
- Prepare and manage the fleet budget.
- Monitor expenses related to fuel, maintenance, repairs, and leasing.
- Ensure adherence to transportation laws, safety regulations, and company policies.
- Conduct safety training and monitor driver compliance.
- Recruit, train, and evaluate drivers.
- Monitor driver performance and enforce driving standards.
- Maintain accurate records of vehicle usage, maintenance, costs, and compliance.
- Prepare reports for senior management on fleet performance.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or related field. Relevant work experience may substitute formal education.
- 5–7 years experience in fleet management or transportation.
- Familiarity with vehicle maintenance, procurement, and compliance standards.
- Strong organizational and leadership skills.
- Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
- Proficiency in MS Office suite.
- Knowledge of transportation laws, safety regulations, and best practices.
- Analytical skills to interpret data and optimize fleet operations.
- Valid driver’s license and relevant safety certifications.
