Government Relations Manager

Are you a seasoned liaison who understands how to navigate government institutions and build strong, lasting relationships? Global Technology Group is seeking a Government Relations (GR) Manager to strengthen our public sector engagement and ensure smooth communication and compliance with government bodies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor and analyze government policies, laws, regulations, and administrative changes that could affect company operations.
  • Build and maintain positive, professional relationships with key officials in relevant ministries, departments, and public sector agencies.
  • Provide guidance and support to ensure the company operates in full compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.
  • Act as a key liaison to facilitate communication and coordination between the company and government entities.
  • Prepare, maintain, and organize official correspondence and documentation exchanged with authorities.
  • Address and resolve regulatory or legal matters in a timely, lawful, and strategic manner.
  • Execute special assignments or directives from the Board of Directors (BOD) or senior leadership.
  • Represent the company in meetings, briefings, and discussions with government representatives as needed.

Skills & Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years of experience as a gazette officer in a government organization, or in military/police/public institutions.
  • For applicants from private companies or NGOs/INGOs: At least 3 years of managerial experience (e.g., Liaison, Admin Manager) with proven relationships across relevant government bodies.
  • Academic degree required; preference given to those with a Diploma in Law or Master of Public Administration (MPA).
  • Strong understanding of Myanmar’s regulatory landscape and government protocol.
  • Ability to travel frequently, including to remote areas.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and negotiation skills.

Job Description

  • Assist the company in addressing and resolving matters affecting the company’s interests in accordance with legal and regulatory frameworks.
  • Maintain, prepare, and manage all documentation and communications exchanged with relevant government entities.
  • Carry out special assignments from the company or directives from the Board of Directors (BOD).
